Dear Laramigos,
We did it! Solar energy freedom lives to see another day! A bill we wrote you about yesterday Senate File 16 – New Net Metering Systems died in the House Corporations Committee today. After a contentious meeting that cut off public testimony, one legislators made a motion to table the bill indefinitely. The motion passed by a 5-4 vote with Representatives Clifford, Hunt, Roscoe, MacGuire and Zwonitzer in favor. Please take the time to thank these Representatives for their vote; they need to hear from the massive amount of citizens that showed opposition to this bill.

Please thank the following committee members who voted to indefinitely table SF16:

dan.zwonitzer@wyoleg.gov, Andrea.Clifford@wyoleg.gov, hans.hunt@wyoleg.gov, Joe.MacGuire@wyoleg.gov, Jim.Roscoe@wyoleg.gov

And go ahead and thank yourself. You made the difference. We know that you were the most important voice in this fight and thanks to you, solar energy freedom won.

Thanks also to the City of Laramie City Council and Laramie Environmental Advisory Council who opposed this bill. We are so thankful that our city sees a future in solar energy for our community.

Power to the people!
